Decking

Wooden Decking

Timber decking creates a warm, natural platform for seating, dining or simply enjoying the garden, and it works well on sloping or uneven ground where paving would be difficult. We build every deck on a solid, ventilated frame with the right fixings, so it stays firm, level and safe underfoot for years.

  • A solid, ventilated sub-frame with proper footings
  • Treated timber decking boards in your chosen profile
  • Balustrades, steps and skirting as needed
  • Fixings suited to timber movement
  • Optional lighting set into the deck

FAQs

Wooden Decking questions

Timber or composite decking?

Timber is warmer underfoot and lower cost, but needs occasional treating. Composite costs more upfront and needs almost no upkeep. We fit both, so we will talk you through the trade-off.

Is decking slippery when wet?

We can fit grooved or anti-slip boards, and keeping the deck clear of algae keeps it grippy.

How much maintenance does timber need?

An annual clean and a treatment keep timber decking looking good and protected against the weather.

Can decking go on a slope?

Yes. Decking is ideal for sloping or uneven ground, where the frame is built up to give you a level platform.
